Set in the quiet town of Wirksworth, famous for its long history of lead-mining and limestone quarries; surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the peak district, Barry Knaggs and his wife, Liz, have their delightful old-style grocery shop, giving courteous personal service and home delivery for the elderly - they sell delicious freshly-baked breads and home-boiled hams

 Freshly baked (to order):-

 Danish pastries
 Croissants
  Sausage rolls and pies

and of course Barry's renowned baguettes - why not try one! - they are absolutely fabulous - hot and buttered - this is a great winner with the young ones - or how about a sausage buster (a hot baguette with a giant sausage) - delicious!

Barry and Liz also cater for the needs of Wirksworth's children who are pupils at the nearby Anthony Gell Senior School as their "tuck shop" - with long queues (out of the shop and up the street) during their lunch break!!! With every sweet, chocolate and lollipop you can imagine, it is a veritable "aladdin's cave" yum yum yummie!!

Also a small selection of wines, spirits and tobacco
